One winter, when I was still a child, my father needed firewood. | Num inverno, quando eu ainda era criança, meu pai estava precisando de lenha. |
He looked for a dead tree and cut it down. | Procurou uma árvore morta e a cortou. |
But when spring came, he saw that on the trunk of that tree he had cut, new shoots were being born. | Mas, quando chegou a primavera, viu que no tronco daquela árvore que tinha cortado, nasciam novos brotos. |
