I've spent years developing my Bidirectional Translation method, a learning strategy that I've found works brilliantly for me and most of the students I work with. If you've ever attempted to learn a language before, then you probably know the feeling of learning for a few months, and then attempting to watch a movie in your target language to see how your skills match up. And with enough comprehensible input at the early stages, it won't be long until you can venture into content that's specifically meant for native speakers to enjoy.
