Nesta bela e comovente palestra, o autoproclamado “homem mais feliz do mundo”, Eddie Jaku compartilha sua história de amor e sobrevivência no TEDxSydney 2019. Eddie Jaku era um judeu que vivia na Alemanha no início e durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Sua história de sobrevivência se estende por 12 anos, desde a ascensão de Hitler ao poder em 1933 até a libertação em 1945. Ele viu a morte todos os dias durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial e, como sobreviveu, prometeu a si mesmo sorrir todos os dias.
Sua família se considerava alemã, primeiro, judia em segundo. Em 9 de novembro de 1938, a noite imortalizada como Kristallnacht, Eddie voltou para casa do internato para uma casa vazia.
